About this Site

The Latin translation of the word "investigate" means to "track from footprints"

This site represents a ficticious company, created to demonstrate how fully ExpressDesk can be customized. The use of ExpressDesk here is restricted to some of its most basic functionality, acting as a simple knowledgebase. In this scenario, ExpressDesk does not use a log-in and therefore limits your ability to track your own requests, and to receive email follow-up to the requests you enter. It is a good example of how flexible ExpressDesk is, and how it can be used in many different ways.

To see ExpressDesk in its full, out-of-the-box, functionality with log-in, personal request tracking, automated email, and more visit http://support.softlanding.com/xdesk/.

We provided you with this extremely different example to illustrate ExpressDesk's ability to adapt to the graphic design and functionality needed by just about any kind of company, even one about an elusive, hairy, man-ape. Although ExpressDesk, in Bigfoot Systems, is not being used as your typical helpdesk, it is working behind each of the three main categories above. Have fun trying it out!

Here are a few pointers about the site:

Enter A Report -- allows you to enter information regarding a sighting or experience that might be associated with the possible existence of Bigfoot.

Search Reports -- allows you to search the database of investigated reports. These are reports that have been investigated and screened by Bigfoot researchers. They appear in this database only because they’ve passed the muster as being somewhat credible. You can search reports via WiseDesk tree or by keyword.

Recent Reports -- this list shows you the reports that have just been entered. They can either be “verified” (reviewed) or “unverified” (reports that have not yet been reviewed and determined credible or worthy of mention.)

If you’re interested in finding Bigfoot in your neck of the woods, check out the Bigfoot Field Researchers Organization at www.bfro.net. They were kind enough to allow us to use their data for this demo.
